a few of our favorite things + cheesy neighbor gifts + free printables!

in our new home we only have three neighbors on our street. very soon after we moved in, we {meaning: husband} had a not-so-great run-in* with one of those neighbors {completely our fault!}. we are still trying to redeem ourselves. with that said, i put “plan neighbor’s christmas gifts” at the top of my to-do list for this month.

while i was at trader joe’s prior to thanksgiving i spotted cute reusable burlap bags, and had the idea to fill them with a few of our favorite things. one of my favorite snacks is smart food white cheddar popcorn. and if you have been to our home – i probably served this to you while you were here.  so, the sound of music inspired my first idea, and cheesy popcorn {a favorite snack} inspired my second idea.

for my first idea, you could choose a few of your favorite things, place them in a reusable bag or basket, download this printable, and share your favorite goodies with others!

a few of our favorite things:

(have you tried our favorites? what are your favorite treats? snacks? drinks?)

and, the cheesiest idea! using smaller bags of smart food popcorn, if you have a long list of people you’d like to give a little treat to: friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, students… download this printable and you are set! pop-in on everyone you love!

a little twist on this cheesy idea: add the tag to a selection of fine cheeses and crackers, for the foodie in your life! or, for the next party you attend, this could be a hostess gift.

each free download includes extra holiday stickers & labels! i recommend printing the stickers & labels on full-sheet labels, and cutting them out with a circle punch. if you decide to use any of these ideas/free printables, i would love to see! tag me on instagram, Facebook, or link to this post from your blog so i can check out your favorite things!

sela’s baseball raglan can be found here. they have them for all ages – in lots of colors – for boys and girls.

*what did we husband do to our neighbors? you are all curious? i will let husband chime-in below in the comments, if he chooses to. ::smiles::

kiwi crate :: toy review

we craft all year, but at this time of year we super-craft. gifts for others, homemade decorations for our home, creative gift-wrapping, and of course festive-crafting-for-oneself because of the love of crafting!

kiwi crate sent us their crafty christmas crate and we are hooked! do you remember getting packages in the mail as a kid? happiness explosion! {i actually still feel this way when i get packages in the mail! ::smiles::} sela went to the post office with me the day this box arrived.  when i told her it was for her – she might have jumped up and down hugging the box nothing short of twenty-five hundred times. before we got back in the car.

it took every ounce of her will power to wait till we got home to open it up…

how kiwi crate works:

1) you sign-up here for a monthly or annual subscription. or gift!
2) you receive a crate.
3) open the crate, and let the fun begin!

there are so many cool crates to choose from, i particularly like the Rockets crate.

let your creative little go wild with the supplies, and then display the festive masterpieces! ..sing a carol, light a candle, shout a crafty-amen!

kiwi crates would be an ideal gift for those kiddos you need to ship a gift to already!

bonus: kiwi crate is hosting their first ever 12-day gift away! each day, they will be gifting a great prize from some of their favorite brands, including: tea collection, tiny prints, and sprout. each day is a new chance to win! {i signed up!}

*new to me*

seejaneblog readers, if you are in the U.S., how was your thanksgiving??? did you make the transition and decorate for christmas? my kids are still home from school today for the holiday, and we have a busy day ahead. before i get started with them, i wanted to start the week with this…

i have mentioned in the past that my husband has some really cool cousins who all live in laguna beach, california. one of these cousins sent me some unexpected, very happy mail a few weeks ago which included three candles that were *new to me* — created by dear sincerely:

i was instantly in love with the candle packaging! look at the details! it is wrapped so cute in fine twine, includes a little charm, and has creative definitions for each one. so unique. plus! dear sincerely can be found on etsy! ta-da, so much handmade goodness in one little jar.

look closely:

the back includes a label + bow. this candle looks cute from every angle! soon after i received the candles, my teenager swiped them and her room was smelling so good. i am a huge fan of good scents. you?

dear sincerely candles would be great for a variety of occasions – thank you’s, birthday’s, thinking of you, get well, good luck, just because, and holidays! keep them in mind the next time you want something handmade and really unique. {who doesn’t want that?!? it’s the best!}

happy monday! xo.

*new to me*

happy monday friends — this week is going to be a good one! do you feel it? lets conquer together!

today i am sharing with you a darling online boutique i discovered recently — and although the shop is based out of the UK, the owner of the shop is originally from Boston, so we have a little kinship going on…

introducing: little citizens boutique

i was looking through the site trying to pick a few favorites to share with you — when i realized how MANY i was picking! i couldn’t stop! and of course you can look for yourselves, but here are a six of the hundred items i am drooling over:

ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX

this is a great shop to browse for christmas selections. i know i could easily take care of everything for sela, and so many of the little citizens in our life!

i’d also like to give little citizens boutique a warm welcome to seejaneblog, you can find the shop button listed on the sidebar as a sponsor.  you should know - despite little citizens boutique being based in the UK, with the way the internet and shipping works,  it’s super easy to order from them. i like the selection because they carry a lot of brands that are well-designed or very rare to the US: Moulin Roty, Djeco (coming soon!), Esencia, Dis Une Couleur, Le Toit de la Lune, Janod…

cheers to a great week!

princess and the pea set :: toy review

today, i am sharing with you one of my favorite -cutest- toys ever. {this is not a favorite because i am a fan of the story that inspired the toy – uh-hem, i think the princess is perhaps a bit bratty!} but… look how darling this toy is! sela agrees on this point.

if you are shopping for the holidays or have any special reason to buy this adorable set, you can find it here at maileg.
