seven things about myself:
hopefully these are less-known things…
because don’t you all know everything about me???

1. i rub my feet together {sub-consciously} whenever i am deep in thought or trying to go to sleep.

2. i grew-up on the coast of washington state and as a child my dad regularly took me out to the beach to go clam-digging. to this day i can find a clam-hole, stomp next to it and see it spit. he also took me {black} berry-picking which i would sell my berries to the “berry shed” for about 25 cents a pound!

3. i love to garden, and have a dream of one day having a huge pumpkin patch.

4. i love love love baptist hymns, and their jammin’ church choirs. the more jive a religious song has, the more i’m drawn to it.

5. also as a child, i was ambidextrous, in 1st and 2nd grade my parents chose my right hand and my teachers at school had to try and make me do everything right-handed. this was because learning to read was really challenging when both sides of your brain are in conflict with one another. to this day, i can do almost everything equally with my right and left hand. writing. eating. throwing. you name it.

6. often times, i have to bite my tongue from correcting someone when they mis-speak, i’m just anal like that.

7. while giving birth to each of my four kids, labor was typically two to four pushes and about five minutes. i love giving birth, it is the most amazing moment in time. it’s very very strange to be in a new phase of life, where i think we are finished having kids. i’m a little weirded out by the new phase… part of me, misses giving birth.
