Brimfield Antique Show

Hello antique-thrifting friends! guess what? I went to my first antique show this week in Brimfield, Massachusetts. The Brimfield antique show. I am still a novice when it comes to shopping for antique/vintage items. I feel like I seem to find all the wrong shops or I don’t have an eye for what will blend well with the newer items I own. At Brimfield, there are so many vendors – you can find incredible goods all on one long street. The show offers block after block of tents set-up full of vendors selling every kind of antique you can imagine. Check it out:

bags can be found here.

{my friend lindsey and i did not plan our matching outfits – only the bags! great minds… ha!}

I am going to use the tennis racquets in myla’s room + as soon as I saw the burlap sacks i couldn’t help but think how cute they would be for sack races at the park.

My post-brimfield-thoughts: I can’t wait to go back! I’d like to slowly add to my new pink depression glass collection. you can read more about depression glass, here. It was known as the “poor man’s dishes” and sold at hardware stores!
The Brimfield antique show is open three times a year. This year’s dates are: May 8-13, July 10-15, and September 4-9.

Do you shop for antiques? Have a favorite collection? Love thrifting? Have you been to Brimfield? I’m curious now – how many antique fairs are there in the U.S.?
